At a clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma their lives a blind golden retriever who suffers from seizures. His name is Tanner. He is 2 1/2 years old, and his owner died in 2010. Since then, he has lived in a foster home, which became too trying for the foster parents, with the seizures and all, and the Sooner Golden Retriever Rescue. He is currently at the rescue, and was suffering seizures every night. That is, until Blair arrived. Blair arrived very stressed, and suffering from a gunshot wound. He looks to be a lab mix of some sort. Anyways, Tanner and Blair bonded, and Blair is Tanner’s “eyes” and guides him around by a leash. It really is a beautiful thing to watch. Since the dogs have bonded, Tanners seizures have become less frequent, and Blair’s anxiety seems to have lessened. The Rescue is hoping the dogs will be adopted together.
