My name is Shannon, and I live in a small town in Southern Ontario with my boyfriend, my 2 teenage daughters, our 6 month old golden Tucker, and Betty the cat. Betty and Tucker have yet to make friends…but we are sure it will happen.
I can’t claim to be an expert on goldens, but I really do enjoy blogging about them, and bragging about them, and bringing you the latest about golden retrievers in the news, and of course updates about Tucker.
I make every effort to post daily, but I am a shift working mom of two teenage girls, (as well as a mom to a very demanding golden)
Eventually, I intend to include surveys and product information, in an easy to navigate manor, and everything else for the golden retriever owner/lover/enthusiast. Thanks for visiting my blog, and I hope you continue on with me on this “golden journey”
Goldens are really the best! My two boys are such smiley pups — they makes us smile every day! Can’t wait to read more!
I know what you mean about bragging about those goldens! So pleased to have found your blog!!!
Thanks for the follow – will be following back as I LOVE goldens! I write about my dog since he’s such a big part of our family. Not sure if you saw this one about Winston: http://penneyfox.wordpress.com/2012/04/20/jake-and-the-stink-monster/
And this was the one about our first golden, Woodrow – it still breaks my heart to think about him: http://penneyfox.wordpress.com/2010/07/23/woodrow-the-best-dog-ever/
Glad we connected – looking forward to reading more of your blog
Same to you Penney
Sally, our 14 year old cat tolerates Wrigley, our 6 1/2 year old Golden…barely. Interesting to see th results of you poll on fireworks, due to the dry conditions in St. Louis almost al fireworks displays have been cancelled this year and the police are tracking down every single fire cracker they hear, should NEA much happier holiday for our boy!
Its very dry here too, but fireworks are going strong. I can hear them now. Waiting for the sirens…lol
Hmm, need to spell check…NEA? Meant to say “be” a happier holiday for the dog.

We love Golden dogs. Sofie is gold in color and we have not told her that she won’t be a Retriever when she grows up. – DogDaz
What a great idea! We don’t have a dog now – we just enjoy our neighbors’ dogs and all the benefits of being furry child free (e.g., travel without worry). For our first 13 years together, we shared our life with a beautiful spring spaniel…his name was…drum roll…TUCKER! My husband picked the name – I think he said something about a highway sign for the town of that name in the Atlanta GA area, and it having the right ring to it. You can check him here: http://abundelic.wordpress.com/2012/11/30/furry-foto-friday/
Hi there. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and giving Bodie a big “like”. Our pets give so much to us, we are nourished by their love and affections. Here’s another post you might enjoy. http://everydaynourished.wordpress.com/2012/12/12/keeping-me-company-driving-me-crazy/
Hi! Thank you for liking my post, especially since it has led me to your wonder golden retriever blog. Such beautiful dogs, and they’re doing beautiful and important work in Newtown. I’m going to follow you. Thanks for your blog.
Oops! I meant “wonderful.”
Just wanted to pop in and say Hi… love your blog.. we have two 7 month old retrievers.. the antics they get up to is no mans business.
I enjoy reading about them!
As my hubbie says, we wouldn’t allow this type of behaviour from the kids.. yet we let the dogs rule the roost
Thanks for visiting my blog! The picture I had was of Betty. She is a counseling dog for PDAP. She is one of the sweetest dogs I know. ( I have 4 dogs myself, though none of them are Goldens) To learn more about her, go here:

Thanks for visiting and liking my blog post of pictures of my golden, Ginger. Obviously my husband and I are golden people. Ginger and her sister Lucy pretty regularly show up on my blog. I can’t wait to see more of your posts as well! Virginia
MaggieMoose lives in the land of Golden Retrievers! Her breed, English Springer Spaniel (ESS) dogs are rare here. We’ve seen one ESS besides Maggie, but lots of beautiful Goldens. The Goldens are prized family members in our Peninsula area (south of San Francisco, CA). Maggie says WOOF WOOF!
Thanks for stopping by and Liking us.
Well hello from Canada Maggie! It’s ccccold here!
For temperate, sunny CA- we are in the big chill. This morning it was 26F. We didn’t know the thermostat got that cold! WOOF WOOF
Sending warm wishes your way!
I found this blog on pinterest and I am so glad I did. I have a 1 year old golden and she is such a huge part of my life

Hi Shannon,

Hi thanks for following my blog.
As you can see I have a goldy too.
😋
I have nominated you for the WordPress Family Award. You can rad all about it here: http://thek9harperlee.wordpress.com/2013/04/30/we-are-fam-i-ly-get-up-everybody-and-dance/. I know I have said it before, but it’s worth saying again. You are my source for all things Golden Retriever–from cancer research and treatment, to tricks and treats, to hilarious videos and outfits. Thank you!
Just discovered this HL. I haven’t been able to respond to awards lately, as you can see I am not blogging as much as usual. Life with 12 hour shifts and two teenagers. You are my virtual bestie, and am truly honored!
Lol…I was viewing your header photo of the row of goldens, and it made me think, wow you have the other end of the spectrum. All of ours have been the darker end. Such a beautiful breed, and I am speaking of their hearts. Loyal and devoted companions every one.
